I came across this product with a name that catches the eye: Repour, The Smart Wine Preserver. You can even create a meme of this person calculating how much wine they can save and taste again. No one can resist guys!
Fortunately, this product didn’t let me down (at least not on the second attempt lol).
Repour seemed to be the missing resource to wipe out the leftover wines. “This smart, innovative wine saver is clinically proven to remove the harmful oxygen from your wine, keeping it fresher for days, weeks, months,” read the ad. Now, tell me if it’s not the perfect advertisement for those who love to sip this drink and are having trouble seeing some of the precious liquid wasted by not consuming all the contents of a bottle at once?
When we received the product package, we couldn’t wait long to test Repour. Then we opened a bottle of Pinot Noir, took two small sips to taste it and put the Repour. The intention was to wait a week to remove Repour and taste the wine again, but… We did two minutes after. We used the Repour for nothing. I can’t even say how happy I was to have 3 Repours left in the package.
Over the weekend, after a wonderful dinner in which we opened 3 different wines to enjoy along with the food, we came across three open bottles: a Chardonnay, another Pinot Noir and a Grenache; all of them prepared to serve as guinea pigs. I used the remaining 3 Repours in the package and hoped everything would work out this time.
We made a great effort not to ruin Repour again; we wouldn’t like to risk it again. So, we opened the Chardonnay two weeks later and… Delicious! My eyes must have formed little hearts with the result. The Repour worked perfectly and we were able to taste again the delicious flavours of the wine.
We still had two more wines waiting and decided not to hurry again, so we waited another week and opened the Pinot Noir and the Grenache… Tastyyy! Once again, Repour lived up to its name and saved our tasty wines, allowing us to taste both the complexity of Pinot Noir and the seductive texture of Grenache.
If you’re like me and love to open several bottles at once, and sip at small quantities, then this gadget is also for us! We can now sample wines without the pain of wasting! Let’s drink to it!
Do not hurry, do not despair and taste a delicious wine as if it were the first time!
